Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are tiny, oval-shaped seeds native to Central and Southern Mexico, packed with fiber, protein, and omega-3s. They're known in the Kikuyu language as "mathenge" and thrive in areas with well-drained soil and moderate moisture, although they're fairly resilient to drought conditions. While germination can occur in a wide range of temperatures, ideally they prefer warm soil around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
