Special Ndengu (Green Gram/Mung Bean) A drought-tolerant legume variety specially developed for East African growing conditions. Seeds germinate within 4-7 days at soil temperatures above 65°F and remain viable for 3-5 years when stored properly. Plant 1 inch deep with 6-8 inch spacing in zones 9-11. This nitrogen-fixing crop matures quickly in 60-75 days and adapts well to rainfall fluctuations. Exhibits improved resistance to powdery mildew and bean aphids compared to standard varieties.
