French Beans White (Phaseolus vulgaris) A bush-type legume producing slender white pods and pure white seeds. Germination occurs within 6-10 days at soil temperatures of 65-85°F with seeds maintaining viability for 3 years when stored properly. Plant 1 inch deep with 3-4 inch spacing in rows 18-24 inches apart in zones 3-10. Matures quickly in 55-60 days with good resistance to bean common mosaic virus. This productive variety yields approximately 3-4 pounds per 10-foot row. Special characteristics include high fiber content, excellent nitrogen fixation abilities, and adaptability to container gardening. Performs best in well-draining soil with pH 6.0-7.0.
